BadAxe (D975XBX), power question ?

I've just been reading over the m/b manual for the BadAxe (which I did'nt read before building my system I might add) I have found the following note on page 58,

"NOTE,
Do not use the 2x2 to 2x4 adapter when using an Intel Pentium Extreme Edition proscessor, or a cpu that is not running at it's default settings. Doing so may result in damage to he desktop board."
So what does this mean ? b-cos at the moment I am using the 2x2 to 2x4 adapter, I am using an extreme cpu (although not pentium) and I am also not running the cpu at its default settings :(, perhaps this explains why I'm having problems o/c'ing my cpu,

how have you guys got your psu's plugged into the Badaxe ?, are you using the adapter ?

I think that warning is there for a reason ;)

That would almost certainly give you trouble overclocking, or even running at stock. I would suggest getting a new PSU that has the extra 2x4 power plug.

Basically you have no chance of getting a decent o/c unless you have a power supply that has that plug. Your CPU will not be getting enough juice. Converters are just to get you off the mark, its new PSU time or new motherboard time, as the Asus only uses the 4 pin cpu power socket.
