hi
i was wondering if this pannal is based on VA or TN technolodgy as the site i use tells me its a TN but on the dell site it says it has 16.7 million colours im confused :confused:

The 1505FP? (ie 15" size). That's certainly a TN film panel, they don't make any models that i know of in the 15" market with VA screens i'm afraid. The sector is too small and it would really bump prices up. There are only perhaps a couple of screens in the 17" market even which aren't based on TN Film. it's not uncommon for sites to list 16.7million colours, even on TN Film panels, it's just a mistake / misleading information.

ok so the 1505fp is only 16.2 million then

yep, a 256k colour depth, interpolated to 16.2 million colours thanks to FRC (dithering)
