I've just received a parcel from Amazon via Royal Mail and there is a sticker across the the main part of the address. The only part showing is the post code. The post man seems to have posted it to the first house hes come to.

What makes it worse is it seems some sellers aren't even putting the receipt inside the parcel so there is no way to see who it was supposed to be sent to.

I've had that lots of times with Amazon - but usually delivered by Amazon so I presumed their device tells them the address when scanning the barcode, so they probably barely look at the label.

I guess once they've passed that onto a 3rd party carrier, they can't scan the parcel.

Pretty bad on the postman though. It's not like the postcodes are unique to each property, if he couldn't see a name on it to verify it should have probably gone back to sender.

I had a parcel from DPD a little while ago where the label printer must have cut off a cm or so from the left of the label, so my house number wasn't on the label.

Delivery van turned up presumably routed to the postcode, sat around a bit in front of next door then drove off. Thought this was odd as I was expecting the delivery and it was quite high value, and didn't want him nicking it... Anyway went through the WhatsApp contact thing and he rang me back, all was explained when I saw the label and he was saying all he had was the postcode / rough area!

Doubt the postie wants to waste time delivering a parcel when it's far easier and quicker to slap a return to sender label on it. Probably saw postcode and delivered it to a matching postcode that gets numerous amazon parcels every day. Or just F'd off with the company (rightly so atm), and did whatever.
