baffling and frustrating problem

well I've got a bit of a problem here

every time I click the sign in box on GTA5 I get an onscreen keyboard popping up.



I cant type into the box because of this and as soon as I move the mouse it disappears.

I have checked that onscreen keyboard is not activated and I've tried reinstalling GTA and restoring the computer from a restore point.


I have to admit i'm stumped the joys of letting a 5 year old near a pc.

any thoughts?
 
did post this in general hardware not sure if its a keyboard hardware issue or windows 8 problem

I very much doubt it is a gta5 specific issue so could a passing mod please move it back out of pc games ta
 
bump still having the same issue


managed to get on with some jiggery pokery with cut paste but even that took a few attempts

utterly stumped. don't even recognize the keyboard as it isn't the osk one
