Well, it's not only PC games, but i can't post in both forums, but i mean what were the judges smoking when they chose GRAW for the best game?!!?!?

Full list here , it's pathetic that the best game all year, Elder Scrolls was not recognised ONCE for any award. It was meant to be a step in the right direction, but a step back is what i'd call it. GRAW was pretty average, bordering on bad...

BAFTAs mean nothing. When a game company wants to even stand a chance of being nominated in a category they will need to pay £5000 for every category they enter. So smaller independant companies will lose out big time because they can only afford to enter 1 or 2 categorys and sometimes not even 1.

Don't ever judge a game because it's not won any awards, or even entered for winning an award.

GRAW is a great game. It was well deserved in my opinion.

These awards passed me by so i don't know who won the others. I'm just about to watch the BAFTA Game Awards on E4 from 11pm to find out. ;)

Tomb Raider: Legend getting best score is the nail in the coffin. These people know nothing. It was OK, but RPGs have the best scores hands down, especially if Jeremy Soule is involved - or Squaresoft.

Any game that gets released with no support for AA does not deserve an award (I know it was added in a patch later, but still!)
Haha, what a fantastic piece of logic. I agree, any game without AA support is utter toss, regardless of how it actually, you know, plays!

Some of those seem like decent awards, but others just baffle me. That nominations for Best Character are dreadful, considering almost none of the games are particularly plot-driven, and what did "HAY GUYS BLUR EFFECT" Black do to deserve an artistic nod?

Look at the actual nominations.

Where are all the proper games?

What a pile of steaming.

What a load of complete rubbish. Having the two most annoying presenters ever to walk the earth didn't help (Vernon Kaye and Dave Berry).

To the OP. Oblivion was up for an award.

I also doubt there were any PC only games recognised there.

Caught the last 30-40 minutes and most of the presenatation felt a little forced to be honest :/ History of gaming wasn't too bad though.

I think the Golden Joystick awards is the one to pay attention to if any.
Voted by gamers.

EDIT: Having read the list though, i don't think its too bad at all. Still some games not nominated that definately should have been etc.

The options at the Golden Joystick are rather poor though, some of the best games got left out. In fact the nominations are all over the place. Go check for yourself, I'm pretty sure you can still vote.
