Hey guys, so i bought a rig last October and I've only just noticed there's this big bag inside of my computer which pretty much takes all the room inside of my comp.

What is this bag for? do i need to take it out?

Thank you

its called an insta pack, just had another look, its like foam packaging. i dont know if i was meant to take it out before i booted it up because it was just for transport

If it's a load of expanded foam in a plastic bag then it needs to come out. It was probably inserted to stop anything breaking during transport.

If that is what it is then surprised you have't had any problems.

This is exactly what it was, can you tell me what kind of problems this can cause? as i dont know much about this, only just looking it up on google now.

As far as i can tell theres no damage to my computer, in fact its kept a lot of dust out of there. But i can only inspect my computer so far ofc so i cant be sure of any internal damage.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as i'm ignorant of what damage this can do to my computer.

it will be fine aslong as it hasn't caught up in any fans then your ok,it simply would crash or wouldn't bootup if its caused any issues, good job you spotted it now

It would be nice to have some pictures.

I am sorry dude, i cant be arsed grabbing my camera, crisis averted anyway in no small part due to you guys enlightening me on this subject, a thousand thank you's.

I've since powered down my comp and removed the offending packaging without further distress. Hopefully this will ensure smooth sailing from here on out.

Once again thank you all for replying to me at such an ungodly hour.

Out of curiosity, did you not look in side the PC when you got it at all the shiny parts?

Absolutely, me being thicker than a plank of wood i just thought, great OcUK but in some "Insulation Foam" /facepalm god what a dip**** i am.

I only went and spent £2000 on a new rig and nearly knacker the whole thing :S

If there was packaging inside the case there should have been clear labelling warning you about it.

From what i remember there was nothing, i didnt even think it was packaging the way it was stuck in there, i thought it was some sort of fan bag or something with an air flow through it. Dont remember seeing anything that would have warned me about it if im honest. i guess its just something that should be common knowledge and i just didnt know.

I'm just glad i asked and removed it before it did any damage to my rig, that would have put me on a real downer.
