Greetings

After Pipex's latest billing screw up and various other minor annoyances i've decided i'm gonna migrate over to a different ISP (probably ADSL24).

Bit confused on how all this works, i've requested my MAC code and will apparantly have it within a week, the confusing thing is...what date do i want to have the new ISP start up so that i'm not ending up paying for 2 of them.

My Pipex billing date is the 22nd of the month so what date do i want the new ISP to migrate me at? and do i have to contact pipex at all to cancel?

if you get a mac code out of pipex in a week i will be amazed.

After 4 weeks i gave up and cancelled :( Luckily line must not of been deactivated as i was up with new isp within a day.

normally things like this are a catch 22 situation

you can either cancel with pipex and end up paying an extra month as you'll have used it for a few days past your billing date AND have your new ADSL service

or cancel pipex, get your MAC code and wait until you've paid the last bill with pipex before signing up with another provider

however, most adsl providers won't bill you till the date your ADSL is activated, as this normally takes 10 working days it might be worth staying with Pipex until 10 days before your last billing date then signing up with new ADSL provider.
