No real reason, ill stop it there until I am able to do the full 5x5.
I am enjoying the stronglifts, I see you have been lifting for a while have you tried it or anything similar?

I never did stronglifts for some stupid reason, now I'm playing catchup on the weights. Stick to it for a fair while and it will do you good :)

Gone down to 3 sets on the dips as I upped the weight. Bench might go over the 60kg mark:eek::p
 
isn't the idea with 5x5 that you up the weight but still do 5 sets? :confused:

The dips aren't really a requirement on the 5x5, all my energy should be used on the the 3 big lifts. But I will be leaving the dips at 10kg for a while until I can get it up to 5x5.
Still enjoying the program cant believe ive been doing it for over 4 months now.
 
well since you'd already done your main lifts you had nothing to lose by trying for more sets... you got 3x5 so you might have got another 2 set of 4.

Also, this isn't a critism, just an observation... you rarely seem to actually get 5 set of 5 before increasing the weight.

Ok ive been naughty and haven't updated my profile in months. But here I am gonna keep you guys updated, and hopefully get reading your logs again.
As you can see squats are doing great, and deadlifts are coming along. Ive reduced my squats to 3x5 about November as I wasn't making any progress and kept failing on sets 4 and 5. And deadlifts ive gone down to 1x5 (which your only meant to do anyway) and that's progressing.
OHP im still stuck on that, but I wont give up and ill keep trying. That's also gone down to 3x5.
My pullups im really happy with, I never could do wide grip pullups and now I can. It may seem a small thing to some of you giants but doing wide grip pullups is an achievement to me.
Also ive lost a few kgs but am looking bigger around the chest, and also my thighs are looking pretty juicy now:p
Anyway merry Christmas everyone, and I hope you lot don't lose too much gainz over the festive period:)
