So my old graphics card MSI GTX 580 started to artifact and freeze badly, pc would not recognize it
in the end.
Having read about putting your GPU in the oven, I thought why not nothing to lose, it isn't working,
after stripping it down I placed it in the oven on gas mark 6, left it baking away,
10 min later I turned the oven off and left the GPU to cool, very bad smell in the kitchen lol, put it back together.
I wasn't expecting much but it worked, gave it a good test with over 10 hrs of gaming without an issue.
Obviously this fix is only for a bad solder joint or the likes, no idea how long it will last, but hopefully it will last long enough for me to save for another GPU.
Will be hoping to get a gtx 1060 6GB or as anybody got any other suggestions for that kind of money?
