I had this once on 2CT's, rear, all the way round! It is NOT difficult, motorway runs KILL soft compound bike tyres.

So, I had done maybe 1k on this rear 2CT, 80 miles to Brighton killed it... Bloody motorways :(

So yea, he may seem like a numpty, but trust me, when it goes, it goes quickly!

EDIT: mind you, those tyres have tread in the middle haha. So yes, he is a numpty. 2CT's dont! :(

I'd rather not comment :mad::mad: as that's similar to mine from a few weeks ago, got caught right out, but mine went from minimum indicators to that in 120 miles... couldn't believe it... won't happen again!

I enjoyed how he said "I ride in the dark" as part of his excellent excuse :).

There's probably a horrific analogy about meeting lady friends in dark clubs here somewhere but I'm too full to think about it. Just make one up and pretend I said it.

I know right! It does go and mid ride, you barely notice, if at all. I surely didn't! Until I stopped, didn't bother to check as like you say. It had enough rubber on it in my eyes when I left! Obviously, the ride back from Brighton was at <70mph along the motorways, with VERY slow acceleration. Straight to the garage lol.

Got a right ear full from my local tyre guy :(

Same here, I did 120 miles of dead steady riding lol

Just watching some episodes on catch up, not got to the bald tyre one yet, but I am watching a guy who was pulled for filtering at speed - what a knobber! Rather than hold his hands up and say "yes it was a bit quick, officer" he seems to be arguing the fact (not watched it all yet btw).

Personally, I'll stop filtering around the 15-20 mark.

Edit: seems he thought there was a rule (unwritten or otherwise) that it's fine to filter around 30mph... looks like he listened in the end though :)

hah, I had a call from mother after that episode to inquire as to this 'filtering' lark!

"no mother... yes mother... how about you learn to drive properly first... because I damn well said so... a brioche... they loved it..."
