Baldurs gate type co-op games?

Hey all.

Me and a mate are trying to find some games similar to baldurs gate but with Co-Op online for the Christmas holidays. Anyone got any suggestions?

It can be fantasty or sci fi, doesn't really matter.

Diablo 3? Been over a decade since a played baulders gate and i was only a young kid so don't really recall exactly how it played out.
 
Some good suggestions here chaps!

With diablo 3 is it competitive multiplayer or can me and my mate just play through a campaign as such?

Both,

Diablo 3 has a great story that you can play together, you can then play end game that ive played over 1000 hours of, ( you can do this as a group also in things called rifts where you essentially aim to get into a higher and higher level rift with monsters getting increasingly harder.)
 
(Diablo 3)Not sure about the PC version (although I do have it) but on the PS4 my son and I are playing through the game on co-op.....and its damn good fun.
 
I would also happily come on and join you guys and show you the ropes of D3 if you desired. ( on a new character as to not OP the game for you )

Very kind offer there, I might take you up on that :)

So far its between diablo 3 and divinity original sin 2. The latter is in early access but seems to have raving feedback on steam. Ill see what my mate prefers and ill go from there. Either way both look brilliant.
 
Both completely different games. Divinity is much more like Baldurs.

Not really much of a learning curve with Diablo, a 5 year old could play it. :p
 
You can Co-Op Baldurs Gate. We definitely did it on LAN a million years ago. Your OP says "but with Co-Op" so sounds like you're not aware of that!

Nowadays you can simulate LANs online so should be possible.
 
Oh really? I never saw that! Might want to play something a teeny bit more "current" though lol. I wonder if baldurs gate even plays nice with windows 10?
