According to Skysports, Michael Ballack who was due to captain Germany in his last world cup in south africa has been ruled out following the injury he sustained from a tackle in the FA cup final. Seems like this WC2010 is missing a lot of the old and new key players like:

Ronaldinho

M Ballack
