Ballistix 8500 Help Please

Hi all need an answer asap,
I have Ballistix PC-8500 1066mhz ram. And I have just run CPU-z and this is what i get.

Surely the bandwidth should show as 8500 not as PC2-6400, am I right?
Anyone else with the same ram what are you getting in CPUz.

Yup, as its showing the speeds before its doubled
My PC25300 shows as 266mhz or 333mhz

Ok well the ram is running at 400mhz frequency, will it not run straight at the 533?

You have to manually set it to 533/1066mhz

Ok I get that but what settings do I need to use.
In the bios I have the option of a linked and unlinked mode. Which do I use and then to I need the 1:1 ratio and finally the QDR is set at 1066 so would the ddr mem be set at that too?

Having tried various settigs last night, I'm still none the wiser as to how I can get it to run at its proper speed. Most of the time my changes cause crashes or the pc just wont boot. I could almost think that the ram is faulty but need more input before I decide what to do

set it to unlinked and set u're memory so its at its correct speed (ie 1066) leave timings etc on AUTO.

make sure memory voltage is at 2.1v then if that all boots fine run memtest, if it fails with 2 sticks in then remove 1 and start again.
