Long story short, after about 3 months a stick of 533 Ballistix has said goodnight, and wouldn't boot no matter what I did (this is likely the cause of my other thread relating to random crashes and corrupted graphics).

SO I've sent just the one stick back (it's essential I have my PC and don't have a spare) and I was wondering what their RMA service is like? How long can I expect to be with a crippled (non-overclocked :() PC?

Last time I sent some Ballistix back I think the turnaround was about a week.

However, they do specifically state you need to send them back as a pair if it was a dual channel kit.

rma'd one set for a mate, turn around was as per their site: 2 days, was exceedingly impresed

about to rma a second set then if these fail i will rma again not open the box and ask ocuk for a credit note and send back to them or swap to the geil.
great ram when it worked but the replacement came faulty. not good

from reading about these it seems you can undervolt them and thy last longer

great customer service we will replace your faulty ram with equally faulty ram within 48hrs GREAT

I had their DDR range and thought they were rubbish. I went Corsair > Ballistix > G.Skill, until I was happy with the G.Skill (which I upgraded from 1Gb to a 2Gb kit). When I finally move over to DDR2 in the new year (even though people have had some luck with Ballistix) I'm still not tempting fate. Going to either go OCZ or G.Skill again.

Anyway, hope you get your memory back sharpish and can get back up and running properly. :)
