Mum needs new windows/doors

How much are we talking these days for the whole lot ?

Typical London terrace 3 bedroom, 2 bay window on the front.
Bay style porch door with a little roof.
2 doors

I know price goes up with more panels of glass and openings....

Can we do the impossible and give a rough price to the nearest 5 grand?

I'm guessing 20k minimum more likely 25 30... These days....

Then who's a company to go with are the major bog players like Zenith and Anglian still a thing... Lol

I've not thought about UK windows for 20 years... Utterly clueless tbh.

I got about £3k for 3 windows, one of which is a fair size, the other two are "normal" size. I only got the one quote as I thought it was fairly OK. That's fully fitted, all waste away, certificates etc.

To be honest, these windows are buttons to make and their mark up is HUGE. I built a house back in 13/14 and I had to get timber (conservation). The quotes were from £10k all the way up to £30k. This was a pretty big house 14 windows, front door, utility door and two double french doors plus 3 skylights.

Just get quotes and tel the disgusting DG sales douche where to go when they go for the "you're in luck with our special offer for just today" nonsense. I actually can't believe that is still a sales technique.

Also, watch White Gold to get a real hatred for these clowns.

I’d be trying to find a small local installer, do not use one of the big companies.

PVC windows are so cheap and are so easy to fit. I replaced almost all of our windows myself whilst our extension was being done so I could get it in with the building control.

The trade price for 6 windows was £1,650 and I fitted them all in a day by myself and fitted them properly. I hear so many stories about window companies just coming and fitting them with just expanding foam.

Surely it doesn’t actually cost 20k for new windows  even with a few bays and with London Tax

We've paid that figure to Anglian for 11 leaded golden oak upvc windows, one composite front door, with very distinct leaded stained glass pattern inserts, and two patio doors, each with fixed side panels, so one would hope yours would be a little cheaper. Whilst it is fine to attempt to replace them yourself if you have the skills, if it goes wrong, or there are some unforseen issues, then it could easily go pear shaped. Anything bay window, and a porch, is not your common garden window replacement.
I've never seen a salesperson at all, sent my own measurements and description in for a quote which is then finalised by a professional surveyor.
