Bamboo A1 for a newcomer?

The first law of 3D printing:

’Thou shalt Benchy’

After that I made the mistake of printing a poop basket to clip onto my mini, that lasted until it did the vibration calibration with poop in the basket, after that it was replaced by a deflector and bin.

I now have the printer! (It arrived a few a few days ago but to mums address as we were mid-move when I ordered it)

Turned up with hole in the side of the box! So hopeful that everything is ok!

I can report all was well!

Printed a Benchy and the compulsory Dragon and dinosaur for the boys :D now what. ;)

Going to look into the grid storage stuff for our kitchen drawers etc

Had family over yesterday, and everyone had to leave with "something" 3d printed :D

Great fun, and everyone is so impressed by the technology (myself included)

Kitchen drawer inserts and other related things are one of my angles into getting the wife onboard with upgrading my Ender 3 S1 Pro to something like a Bambu Lab P1S :D

There's some pretty cool Gridfinity stuff out there for them like this: https://makerworld.com/en/models/761606-gridfinity-adjustable-silverware-holder#profileId-722606

So far really enjoying it. Still essentially getting by with just the app as I don't have a pc set up currently. That said we do have a fairly capable laptop so may get that going and look into that side of things

From time to time my top layer isn't great, visible lines and not overly smooth.

But otherwise all prints have been good, no bed problems like the horror pictures on the Reddit / Facebook pages.

Haven't actually cleaned the plate yet either

You don't need much of a PC to run Bambu Studio, Intel NUC8i3 runs mine fine, way easier to do stuff on the PC than the app. (screen size)
