I am looking at the A1 with the AMS light. But cat stop thinking about P1S with AMS as well.
Anyone else thinking of getting anything?

Let us know how you get on?I figured it was time to retire my long serving DIY D-Bot coreXY and nabbed a P1S earlier today.
Farewell, my friend. Hello darling.
Well, it's my second day with it and it's been a very nice experience so far.Let us know how you get on?
Thank you for the feedback.Well, it's my second day with it and it's been a very nice experience so far.
It's an upgrade in every way over my old printer.
It's fast, accurate, easy to use and pretty much everything the reviews tell you.
Honestly, my issue is less the poop quantity and more the time it takes to swap, often being like 10x longer than the time it is actually printing in that colour because it has to wind it allllll the way back to the AMS every time.the only downside is the amount of purging that happens (Bambu poop) but that can be tweaked to make it less severe. For my use case, having a Bambu X1C with dual nozzle to handle a main filament and support interface material that is also connected to an AMS would be perfect
Yeah you're right there. I think I've just learnt to accept the time it add's but it's really noticeable on larger or more complex prints that require multiple changes for support material or colour changes. two tubes to hold filaments in place ready would actually be great.Honestly, my issue is less the poop quantity and more the time it takes to swap, often being like 10x longer than the time it is actually printing in that colour because it has to wind it allllll the way back to the AMS every time.
Not sure how the A series handle it as they have all 4 tubes running to the head, so it would make sense to only back the filament out that far which would be much faster.
I'd hope their next printer which is expected to be larger might run multiple (2 would be enough) tubes to the head to allow one to be winding back while the other is printing in the case of 3 or more colours being needed. The difference in print times would be drastic without needing to go as far as multiple or swappable print heads.
