Band Hero and Rock Band question

Bonjour people,

My girlfriend loves playing the drums on Rock Band (after a night around at my friends) so I was thinking of buying her the bundle!
After looking around I saw Band Hero - Super Bundle and the drums look better as they have cymbals etc but was wondering if these are any good and can they be used with the Rock Band games?

I don't mind about the Hero series being discontinued as there are loads of games out between the Rock Band series and Guitar Hero series to keep her more than happy!

It's just that I wanted to see if that Band Hero kit would work with The Beatles or other Rock Band games?
