It's been over 19 years since I last saw the Beta Band live on their farewell tour. Given that a month or two ago I saw the Bluetones absolutely nail the 25th anniversary of Solomon Bites the Worm it makes me sad to think that I will never see some of the bands I truly loved play again.

Do others have similar feelings? Which bands do you mourn the figurative (or even literal) passing of?

Runrig sadly enough even more so that Bruce Guthro has departed. They may do one last farewell concert but they’re all beginning to knock on a bit

I think it's a given that if they are dead you don't really need to reply as it's obvious, as is the case for Jimi Hendrix.

You also must be quite old to have seen him in his prime

Chumbawamba :(

Had sooo many good nights seeing them.

And my biggest musical regret was never having got to see Frank Zappa before he died in '93

Ah interesting. What are they like now and what do they do for band personnel? What era are they playing in their sets?
Maxim is the 'frontman' now I guess. He's the one hyping the crowd up.

Looked like a 4 piece band on stage. Drums, guitar, Liam on keys/synth and Maxim doing vocals.

They do a little laser tribute to Keith which is good.
