bandwidth monitoring

Does anyone know of any free/cheap software you can use to monitor how much you have downloaded over a period of time? I mainly use one computer so it doesnt need to be installed on multiple systems as the usage by the other computers are very minimal.

Netlimiter is very good software i used to use it to limit the upload speed of torrents / DC++ file transfers back in the day

Can any of these exclude network traffic from the bandwidth monitoring?

Everything I have used records LAN traffic (of course), so it's quite a lot of GB inaccurate!
