Bandwidth or timings?

Which is more important on a pentium d system? Should I try and keep the system 1:1 with good timings or should and try and use a divider and run the memory faster slackening the timings a little? I'm asking this as I can't realy test it out until I get my new PSU.

1:1

without the AMD style onboard mem controller, the intels are bandwidth junkies
Moron  :p He meant divider it so it's running faster than the FSB.

Do that, run it on something like FSB 4:5 DRAM or whatever. No need for tight timings as they make hardly any difference on Intel systems.

I hate you, misread the question slightly

Yup!

Intel - as much bandwidth (higher frequency on the memory as possible), don't worry about timings unless they get stupid e.g. CAS5

AMD - as tight a timing as possible, bandwidth as high as possible but not having to sacrafice timings to get there. So long as it is at least 200mhz, then that's all you need.
