Hi All

I was using a bandwith calculator to work out the requirements of an IP CCTV system and it says it needs 50 Mbit/s

Would a normal 10/100 ethernet based network support this speed?

What is the limit for 10/100 ethernet?

100 Mbit is the fastest of those two. 1000 or gigabit is generally where things are at these days though.

The 100 in 10/100 stands for 100Mbit connection.
You should be fine, 50 Mbit sounds a lot though as mentioned so maybe its to ensure you have enough overhead.
