Got to be a joke surely. People can't really think you can just open an account by giving a name and email address and they'll just believe you.

I dont mind showing my Id


I'd just prefer to go in to a branch with my drivers license and just fill in a form rather than photograph it and have to scan my face online.

I went in to natwest earlier and they told me it could only be done online now

That can partly be true though you still have the option of taking the supporting documents to the branch, or you can send them by post.

yea it shows you how much support you can get in a branch if you ever need it, None.

half the banking peoples jobs went because of them encouraging their customers to do everything online.

I bet they thought it was great when they were getting paid to sit around with not much to do. too short sighted to see their jobs would go by.

Imagine going to a branch to make a deposit and being told, go to the post office.
that's the scenario coming up, you can make instant deposits at any post office for those un aware.

I regularly use the post office to withdraw funds from an RBS account in the denominations I need

It's literally 10x easier and hassle free to open a bank account online than in person

But my photo I'd has outdated address.git plenty of bulls council etc for new address.
