Armchairing it today  , then to the local to watch Newcastle at 3.00.
Looking forward to Chelsea v Man Utd , should be entertaining.

The lovely people at Birmingham are charging £39 for away fans today , its a category A game , despite the fact home tickets start at £15 for adults.
How can you have different categories for teams in the same league?
Its just sheer greed , ripping off the teams with big away followings , this has to stop but they are not the only ones - Bolton , Wigan and Blackburn do the same , while we (and others) have had allocations cut at Boro this season.
Why not just ban away fans altogether eh?
Anyway , I digress...

Emre and Englands Michael Owen back in the squad today and through the noises he's been making this week I expect him to play some part.He has also said this
I joined Newcastle without the club being in Europe.
“I am committed to the cause but it is hard to show that commitment when you’re not playing.
“So much is written and said about you and you have to just bite your lip.
“I am looking forward to starting next season fit and I’ve said a million times it will be with Newcastle.
“I have had a great first season, apart from getting injured. I love living here.”
Owen added: “I’m very keen to get back into the thick of the action.
“I have hated every minute of being injured. I just wanted to be out on the pitch, doing my bit.
“And I don’t think I have anything to prove between now and the start of the World Cup.
“It’s a long time away — six weeks and I have no doubt I will be fit.”
We'll see...

The faux Geordie charlatan Steve Bruce has trotted out his usual pap in the run up to the game
So it's a big game for us but it would be against Newcastle. It's Sod's law after the season I've had to be playing against the team I've always supported ever since I was a young lad."
Come on lads , lets relegate this **** today.

Toon FACT - We havent won our last away game of the season since we beat Grimsby to claim promotion the the Prem in 1993.

Looking forward to the trip on Monday to Sunderland, just not the drive back in the small hours. Arsenal have some bloke called Ashley Cole in the squad, apparently he used to be one of the best left backs in the World.

He also claims he wants to stay.....yeah right.

Still a ****.

Alex Hleb (knee) is doubtful while Gilberto (ankle) and Mathieu Flamini (hamstring) are definitely out. Jose Antonio Reyes will also be missing after having his wisdom teeth out.

Theo's injured too which is a shame as I thought he would play some part in the game.

Arsenal also face Man City on Thursday.

Maybe he feels that he needs Saha's pace against Chelseas big strong defence who might be able to mark RvN out of the game.

Still, it's a strange one and in recent years RvN has consistently proven himself to be the second best goalscorer in the league, I'd always want him in my team if I was a MU fan.

I suppose you could say there are similarities to the Beckham situation where he was frozen out to some extent by Fergie prior to being sold (being benched against Madrid for example).

Realistically I think MU need to win this game by at least two goals if they want to keep their illusion of title hopes alive, which now means netting 3 away from home against a team who have won all but one of their league fixtures at Stamford Bridge this season.
