Banking apps etc?

Now that i've finally been a good enough boy to get an iPad for christmas and also having just bought my Mum one for her 60th i was just wondering about the safety aspect of online banking and things like Amazon etc via their apps (or websites)?

It is probably me just being paranoid but is it safe to do such things on an Ipad.

safer than doing it on a pc due to the locked down nature of an ipad

Also if you use something like barclays for cc and current, their own app is pretty nice, easy and integrated. Does everything through it and the only thing you need to do on a "pc" is to add new payees once and then the app can use them. Very pleased with it.

Unless you happen to use Lloyds TSB. Their app is just a terrible mobile web UI

Natwest have a very good iPad / iPhone app, lots of features.

don't know about safety but I love using my bank on the pad.

It's quicker for me as I don't have to mess around with a card reader, the wife can even add her account to the home screen and has a different logon.
