Banking Apps New Phone

It’s been a while since I swapped iPhone for iPhone but how easy is it to swap over your banking apps from old to new? Do you need to log back in or does the new iPhone get your login details too?

Pain in the arse for some apps

Mostly you can log in on the new phone, but some apps tie to the hardware and it acts as a digital key, First Direct do this. With them (or at least you used to) you have to unregister the old phone prior to registering a new device.

I recently moved phones and didn't have much of an issue regaining all access.

Ah so it might be different for different apps. I think banking apps are the worst for it though if I remember right.

Barclays was always a pain in the arse but Monzo was easy, just install the app, it sends an email to your registered address with a link that you follow and that's it, job done.

Typically one would be Barclays haha
