They never work, it always feels pants compared to a real keyboard and mouse because it's just mapping the analogue to a mouse.

I just can't understand how these things can work either, how do they account for the neutral position on a joystick when using a mouse? Looking at the video in the link, the crosshair still moves very slowly even when using the mouse.

I suppose if you're really hung up on using a mouse it could be worth a shot, I prefer pads and a comfy couch too much these days though.

lol, whats the point? Halo has enough auto aim to not even need a mouse.

Also, the movement on screen still looks like its being controlled by a 360 pad. I saw no difference.

Same here, didn't look like it had a higher sensitivity at all so I don't see the point except for people who just can't stand mouse and keyboard and stuff.

It's moving slow because he left it on the default sensitivity setting in game.

I don't see what the point is - the way these devices always work is by mapping the mouse speed and direction to the relative position on the analogue stick and usually they're never much better than a gamepad thanks to the lack of sensitivity and the small range of motion, let alone a real mouse and keyboard.

I read a review of one of these which said it was rubbish - really laggy.

Also, it can't account for certain things. Basically, anything that uses an analogue input doesn't walk, and on the 360 pad that means the left analogue stuck and the triggers. So anything that depends on either of those things just won't work.

Go back to your PC's. Its like people who game on a pc with ps/xbox controllers, seriously just stick to what you can play on.

Yep I was going to post about this but after watching the lame video I was not impressed at all.

On the subject of mice,I seem to remember watching a Halo 3 video where some guy was using a mouse and keyboard and it looked pretty good, but I can't find it now.

The only real mouse and keyboard set up worth using is the XCM's, while the Scorch stuff improves on the 360 controller it's not worth anywhere near half the XCM.
