Banned from Diablo 3

I've just received a email telling me I'm banned from diablo 3, just logged into battle.net and sure enough I am banned.

The email says,

Offence: Unapproved Third Party Software "A third party program is any file or program that is used in addition to the game to gain an unfair advantage. These programs may increase movement speed or teleport heroes from one place to another beyond what is allowed by game design. It also includes any programs that obtain information from the game that is not normally available to the regular player or that transmit or modify any of the game files."

I never play diablo 3 so this has come as a bit of a shock. I played the game on release and got to act 2, and didn't play it after that. I recently reinstalled it after formatting and reinstalling windows but I didn't play it.

Anyone know what I should do, it looks like someone has got my battle.net account details and has been playing diablo 3 with my account? And also using hacks while doing it.

Help me please guys.
 
Surely the only thing you can do is change your password, then contact Blizzard explaining the situation and hope they can do something?
 
Claiming someone hacked your account is the first thing a hacker would claim if they were caught. :p
On a serious note your best bet is to contact blizzard and try to explain your situation after changing your password and security questions.

yeah yeah thats what they all say when they get caught by the ban hammer.

The fact that the hacker didnt chg ur battlenet account pass tells me that ....

1. ur running linux
2. u got caught hacking D3 enjoy the ban :eek:
 
How do you know someone has been accessing your account? you just seem to be assuming because you were banned and don't think it was you that someone else much have done it, could be a false positive or a number of other things tho GL trying to get that accepted by support.
