Banning specific MSN Messenger Account

Hi,

Is it possible *at all* to ban a specific MSN Messenger account? Or to have the MSN Messeneger functionality of a hotmail.com account removed?

How do you mean? Ban from contacting you through MSN messenger? Use the block option.

Yep this is what I mean... Sorry for any confusion.

Basically my parents have requested that I ban my sister from using MSN Instant Messenger. As I use the service I would prefer to find a solution which blocks only my sister from accessing Messenger (Currently I just have MSN blocked via a software firewall).

Install trillian and use that instead? Don't tell your sister what it's for and remove the shortcuts to it, she will never be any the wiser.

Install msn to your my docs and make your folders private so she can't access it?

Create logins for all the family; then use the Microsoft Shared Resource Toolkit to block MSN Messenger use on her account.

yup. separate user accounts are the way to go. i couldn't imagine sharing my account with someone else. yuck....

but yea, sererate accounts, make hers a limted one which will stop her from installing stuff too, if you want to go that far
