Barb Question

Is it reccomended to use PTFE on threads on barbs even if they seal with the black o rings?

No need if they have the o-rings. I've never bothered and never had any issues.

Iv used it before with O rings but not really any need tbh. For peace of mind it wont hurt using it as well.

Doesn't hurt to be honest.. I did... Just don't over do it if you are using O rings and make sure the rings have direct contact with the barb.

belt and braces - as thats what the o ring is for.
If they are old barbs and slightly crossthreaded blocks then yes.

No harm in doing so, i've used PTFE tape on all 20+ of the barbs in my current two systems not had a single leak from either

Same, i always have - if anything for my own peace of mind, no leaks yet 3 years down the line *fingers crossed*.
