Looking for a new jacket that has 4 pockets on the outside and 2 on the inside, how hard! lol..

Came across this Barber or baurber jacket which the sales man said was a good classic jacket and is well made...

well, he is the sales man after all isnt he.

But are they any good? anyone got one?

They are excellent jackets and if looked after (waxed etc) will last for years!

My old man has old ones for fishing and they must be 20 yrs old!

Seems to be a bit of a trend amongst scallies in Liverpool to go for the quilted style ones at the moment. It first started at Liverpool away games last season and now the sheep are following...

The quilted ones look stupid if you ask me. Very Guy Ritchie

these were not quilted but plain dark green ones with wax on, felt nice and comfy, but he did have one of them auzzie dust beater coats there too..... almost bought that lol... almost..

Will go have a look around and see if i can get it for cheaper than £150.

cheers all

Excellent, hard wearing jackets, if not particularly fashionable unless you're in certain sets.

I know I inherited mine :)

got mine for fishing as well...they stand up to brambles and barbed wire better than nylon..and even if they do get punctured I live close to the factory who do repairs!

One of the best coats I have for harsh weather.
Especially when out shooting or at The three counties show. :D

Check out Alpha Industries.

Not sure what mine's made of but it feels like canvas, but is waterproof and thick.

Very warm too, and plenty of pockets outside and in.

Awful things, especially when they start to smell as so many seem to do, no idea why but you can always smell an off 'barbour' from a good thirty yards or so <puke>
