Am currently taking various deliveries of some water cooling components for my first water cooling build, and this has included 2 x ThermoChill 3/8-1/2 barbs to go with a PA120.3.

The rad and the tubing haven't arrived yet, but things like the pump (DDC pro) and micro res have. The pump has a EK DDC X top, and is fitted with 1/2" barbs. These are clearly wider than the ThermoChill 3/8-1/2 barbs I ordered seperately, so my first reaction was I have been sent the wrong ones. However, looking at the picture on the adverts for these suggests that I haven't.

Below is two photos of the barbs I've been sent, followed by the small advertising image:

As you can see, they look like their advertised image, but they are described as "3/8" BSP Threaded Barb for 1/2" ID Tubing, suitable for use with ThermoChill Radiators". Is this my water cooling virginity showing, or do I need to get these changed? Tubing with an ID of 7/16" is supposed to be a really tight fit, but looking at them against a ruler suggests otherwise! If they are right, how come they are different in width to the barbs on my pump?

Phew, two quick responses from experienced forum members, and I'm not looking like a total idiot for this thread (yet). Thanks guys.
What about the advertising image though? This or similar images are used on multiple sites selling these barbs. They all wrong?

Didn't get direct from Thermochill, but have emailed the supplier that I did. Might get a response tomorrow.
Think the reason that the advertising image is the one shown above is because it's the one Thermochill use on their site, but they only use one image for both 1/2" and 3/8" ID hose barbs (drop down selection). Technically, I don't think other suppliers just selling the 1/2" ID hose barbs should be using this image if it's wrong!

I am 90% confident I've been sent the wrong ones now, and will put on this thread the suppliers response.

To finish off this thread, the supplier was sent an email showing the barbs sent (posted earlier in this thread) and they have agreed they were the wrong ones and I am returning them for a refund.
