Hello all,

Has anyone experianced buying tickets for the Barcelona vs Real Madrid game whilst still in the UK, and if so, what website/method did you use to purchase them?

I have ofcourse searched and every site I look at just screams SCAM at me!

Cheers!

become a member of FC Barcelona and go through official channels. It isn't all its cracked up to be though. You need a pair of binoculars to see anything as you are so high up and it is windy beyond belief.

Don't know the exact selling details but I suspect that it will be incredibly difficult to get tickets for this game directly from the club, even more so as you're in the UK

I'd imagine your only realistic chance of getting tickets would be to pay extortionate amounts to either a tout or a travel agent offering some sort of package deal.

Haha. Whoops we all know it's late- had two tabs open. One with the transfer thread discussing city, and this one. Will delete.

I'd love to go to a Real vs Barcelona match though. The atmosphere must be electric!

From the Barca site (not saying it is easy to get them but certainly possible)

Tickets on sale all the time

Tickets for the 2010-2011 season are on sale continuously after they go on general sale in all channels on September 14th, with the exception of the FCB-Real Madrid game.

MEMBERS: the Members of the club have an exclusive advanced sales period. From the start of the season, specifically September 2nd, they can purchase tickets for any games played at home (including the FCB-Real Madrid game, which will be limited to the members without a season ticket). During this exclusive period the open sales channels are the following: club website, website Servicaixa.com, website Ticketmaster.es, the Servicaixa ATMs and the club telephone number (see channel details below).

And in games in other competitions, our members always have priority in purchasing tickets. with exclusive purchasing periods, quotas of tickets reserved for members, exclusive purchase channels and special discounts.

From what I can make of that, the Real game is the only game that doesn't go onto a general sale. So unless you're a member, it won't be possible to buy tickets through the club for that game.

BaZ87: An earlier post of mine points that you can become a member of Barcelona and try to go through official channels.

How straight forward is it to become a member though? Can anybody simply sign up and become a member or are there limits/waiting lists etc?

it wont be easy, obviously there are waiting lists or prioritised bookings and if you did join you would be at the lowest point in the pecking order.

the only way to get a ticket easily would be if you knew executives who get business tickets or are willing to pay serious cash from an agent/company.

its the biggest game of the year in spain. i live in glasgow yet have never been to an old firm match, i would go if somebody said they had a ticket, but nobody ever does because its about supply and demand.
