We arrived yesterday after 10 days in London.
Tired and with too much luggage and me having to drag all the heavy stuff.
Trying to find our way to a train to the hotel, we are squashed into a little lift between stations.
Me, Mrs E4 and who I assumed to be a student, looked more eastern European than medetarian with rucksack.
Halfway up the pretty short 1 level elevator ride I feel my trouser pocket being "opened" for use of a better word .
Lol.....
Turned to face our freind and grabbed him so hard by his bag straps asking him wtf he thinks he's doing. He's blathering English in a very eastern European accent protesting the situation. After a moment I let go, check my phone tell him to leave "or else" I'd probably have been stabbed by now if this was London anyway. :p

He walks off rambling I'm crazy. (Maybe true);

Now it got me thinking did I just randomly assault some scared kid on the metro because I thought I felt something weird. Insert pocket groping junk jokes as much as you want I understand:p

Anyway I'm 90% sure his intent was how I described, I didn't get stabbed so I'm happy and my holiday wasn't ruined before it even started.

Be paranoid/safe out there travellers.

No, this is really common in Barcelona on the trains and stations. Last time I was there the security warned me before I walked in.

Pick pockets tend to stand near signs warning people about pick pockets. As folks see the sign they check their valuables so then the pock pockets know the pocket to pick.
