Barclays app on android "please login"

been using contactless on the Barclays app
after a variable amount of time i get the message "please login"
and i cannot use contactless until i have done so

it mainly happens after x2 contactless transactions but i can be logged out after no transactions there is no pattern to it

what are peoples experience with it?

i understand the need to login after several days or several transactions
but this is too much

thinking of going to a bank that uses google pay (barclays does not) and using that instead

Yeah I gave up too. Barclays sucks that they force you to use their own app. I just use Android pay now with an Amex and a Revolut account with a bit of money in it as a back up for places that don't take Amex.

I have a mix of Revolut and Monzo, I transfer money from my Barclays account to either of these two cards and they work in Google Pay just fine.

Yeah I gave up too. Barclays sucks that they force you to use their own app. I just use Android pay now with an Amex and a Revolut account with a bit of money in it as a back up for places that don't take Amex.

I gave up on the Barclays app only after 2 days of using it. I chose instead to use Samsung pay + . Which alows you to use any card whether its supported or not. It has been flawless.
