Hey guys,

I'm going to be making the switch to Intel on my next paycheck and just wanted to check my specs with you guys.

I already have a 7870, OCZ ZS 750w PSU, Crucial M4 and Data drives. I'll be upgrading with the following.

Motherboard (bought, sitting staring at me) :

Processor:

RAM:

Case:

Am I right in thinking that I can intall one of these on the Ghost?

Thanks all :)

What will you be using the PC for, if its just gaming then you will be able to get away with the 3570K cpu.

The fan will b able to fit in the roof of the case.

Main use will be internet browsing and games, though I will be using it for processor heavy music production with lots of real time effects quite often. I'll also occasionally be using Avid Media Composer for work, and thats a total hog. The transcoding speeds will be a massive advantage here.

To be totally honest, an i5 would probably suffice, but I'd rather have an i7 in the long term and can afford one right now seeing as I'm not upgrading my graphics card (I've got a 5770 to put in my current machine when I hand it over to my Dad).

Cheers for the reply RJC :)

I've got an Antec h2o 620 sitting in my cupboard which I plan to use, though I'd be up for going onto air if it will be higher performance and not add too much noise. I'm slightly underwhelmed by the one I'm using in my current system, but it's quiet as long as you don't use the stock fan.

I probably will be O/Cing, seeing as these chips seem to be able to be pushed quite high.
