Corsa is now MOT'd.

It needed :

2 x Track Rod Ends
Starter motor
1 x Rear Wheel Bearing
1 x Driveshaft sleeve.

Seeing as the R5 was nackered, we swapped that (and some cash our way) for the above parts (excluding starter motor) and had the bits and bobs done, so she's all legal now, however we need the logbook to come back so we can tax it.

Updated pictures, its been given a good wash, polish and vaccum :)

Not bad for £125 i think you'll agree ;)

The only extra's he has put on it is lowering springs.

£50 (fitted) from one of his mates, and its not too low to looks silly, but not high enough to look like a 4x4 :)

He wants to buy a new back box for it, with a 3" polished tail, which is £30, but i have said is it really worth it ? He seems to think so, but it seems a pretty solid buy, needs no welding and is mechanically sound :)

Like I said in the first thread. Very nice car for the money that has been spent on it in the first place and getting things sorted. A nice new box box would be a good buy. Just finish it off. Nothing supid though.

Your brother has a very good car for the money.

i do love ths car it just does it for me. lol
TDs sound great with a decent sized back box. you could hear the turbo whistle through my novas exhoust. was verry nice.

For the price that is great.

Any car that moves and can pass an MOT at this price is, but that actually looks like a good example too which is a bonus :)

What? It's a diesel?

In that case, definitely don't get an exhaust on it lol!

When I see cars like this for no money what so ever I start to seriously think about going down the bangernomics route when my 306 dies. That Corsa does seem like especially good value though. May I ask how it was so cheap, was it a trade in at a dealer that you offered to take off there hands rather than it go to auction? Ebay? or some where else?

The engine was cooked by the previous owner.

It had a recon engine put in, and one of the pipes to the brand new radiator split, they left it sat on the drive for over a year.

One new battery and a new starter motor later and it runs sweet as a nut.

They sold it to us thinking it was a non-runner !
