i just picked up a brand new sealed MBP 1.83 for £600!!

first impressions are very good. quite a bit nippier than my G4 and ive still got a 1Gb stick to go in. i love the backlit keyboard, the way it fades in and out is smart. im very happy

now i just need to sell my old g4

May I ask how you managed to pick it up for £600 (as long is it doesn't break the no competitors rule, that is)?

Didn't a lorry full of Apple kit get broken into somewhere not long ago, plenty of machines pinched yada yada..? Or so I heard.

of course you may ask. its perfectly legit. a certain well known computer seller on retail estates is clearing out lots of machines including apple laptops.
