Lost!
Had to go out and get some cartridges for mum's old HP inkjet (works fine tho) and so went to the usual suspects looking for compatable's as real HP 29A's are £25 each.

Popped into no competitor hinting! on the off chance after fialing everywhere else to find they had compatables @ an amazin 97p for the ones i wanted.

So i grabbed 2 and trotted to the till ready to argue over the pricing and to my amazement they really were 97p, so i dashed back and grabbed the other 2!

So, 4 cartridges which are usually £15ish each for a total of £3.88 BARGAIN! :D

Too right mate! Thats one reason why I bought my Epson. (from OcUK, naturally) It cost slightly less than one black and one colour for my HP 610C.

You could always try ebay for cartridges. I got 6 colour for £7 inc p+p - mainly cos no-one was bidding at 3 am!

 BARGAIN!

You should have stocked up!!

LOL - i emptied the shelf of all 4 they had :D

As for concerns about compatables, its a black cartridge, i've used all sorts in the past and they work and for 97p who gives a dam :)

The printheads for HP cartridges certainly used to be part of the cartridge, I don't know if its still the case (97p might suggest that it isn't), but if so there is not a lot to lose from using compatibles.

Compatables for my canon are 90p. Have been using them for 6 months now no probs.

same here, i buy in bulk :D

I had a lexmark before that and one colour cartridge was £30. now i can buy 15 black and 15 colour cartridges for less than one lexmark one :D

Lexmark are disposable printers IMO when replacing the carts costs more than replacing the printer. Just flog the "used" one on through the small ads.
