Hello all, thought I'd let you know about a deal I saw in Gamestation in Bournemouth. (pretty sure that's not one of the competitors)

They are doing 4 pre-owned games for £20 and some of the games on the deal are fantastic!

I picked up Halo 2, MK : Deception, NFL Street (awesome) and SW:KOTOR for £20, not bad at all!

There were tons of games in there, not sure if this deal is in all the shops but it's highly recommended! :)

Now, to finally see what all the fuss about Halo 2 and KOTOR is! Had a quick blast on Halo 2 last night, looks pretty impressive

Am enjoying my Xbox loads atm, it has been broken (DVD drive died) since about August and haven't played it since, ordered a replacement drive which arrived yesterday so it's getting a whole new lease of life.

What did you think of KOTOR then?
Haven't opened it yet :p Been playing Halo 2 so far, am really enjoying it :)

Think I'll have a blast on KOTOR at the weekend when I've got a bit of time to sit down and pay attention to the story etc, will post here with my impressions!

First impressions of SW:KOTOR (Bear in mind I'm not off Taris yet)

Promsing I think sums it up best. I'm a huuuuge fan of Baldurs Gate, Planescape Torment and suchlike so I'm not overly concerned about the aforementioned people standing around while you burglarise their houses, though it is a bit strange! Seems to be an intriguing story and I think I'm already picking up on some subtexts which I hope will work out, I like how the Sith are portrayed as not all bad guys but as normal people just doing their job, thought that was a nice touch. I like the way the combat works and the fights when you have dual swords just look coool :p Annoyances are things like moving between areas accidently and the load times seem a touch excessive. Fortunately I had a chance to slap on the surround sound and concentrate on the game so felt like I was getting sucked into the world which I guess can only be a good thing. The graphics aren't anything to write home about but am not particularly bothered by that, there are some lovely backgrounds which add a lot to the game, along with the ol' Sith reflections which look purty. The interface is a bit clunky but I doubt you could get much better without a mouse, once you get the hang of it I can see it becoming second nature, I prefer the Morrowind journal interface though which seems more logical.

Anyhow, for £5 I can't really complain at all, am looking forward to getting a lightsaber and getting some of the force stuff, judgement reserved at present but it gets a provisional Good Game (tm) from me.

As an aside - Halo 2

Absolutely loving this. Was slightly disappointed about the potential return to the 'Library' as that was a PITA in the first Halo...! Scorpion Tank = Awesome. Energy Sword = Awesome. Cracking soundtrack as well, especially in DD5.1. All in all as good as if not exceeding Halo in sheer production quality, looking forward to seeing how the 2 storylines converge in future.

That's all from me folks!
