Well after days of surfing the forums I decided to get a new rig.

All the recomendations I got were very good and got a lot of advice from all. I went to a local computer fair today and dropped on the below.

AMD 64 bit 3400+
160bg HD Maxtor 8mb Cach
Sony DVD dual burner
512mb of pc400
Radeon 9550 Card 256MB version
450wt PSU
ASRock board VM800
Free web cam and all boxes and instructions.

Cost (ready for this) £240 inc vat all built up to take away.

Also got myself an new LG L1917s (19" TFT) for an amazing £170 inc vat retail.

Well I have to admit im chuffed to bits with performance.


Hope you all agree its a bargin and thanks for all advice given over last couple of weeks

Its a S754 and it is the AMD not the Sampron as that is the 1st thing we looked at as with the price been so low, thought the same. The graphics card will do me fine for now as I only play on SOF2 and Medal of honour on line gaming so im happy.

At a later date will drop the best card in it when AGP are dead and have dropped very low in price.

Memory wise I will do the same and get a extra stick of 512mb to take to 1 gb.

Runs like a dream, I think ASRock have a tweak program for the CPU if that is so anyone know its name? Same for graphics card.
 
should be able to crack that up slightly...get a second hand 9800Pro for about 60, and an extra 512 for 25-30 new off of oc :) should run very very nicely :)
