Just brought it off chineese site going to fit to my Gskill 8200 Cudimm as im getting errors when they hit 50c and there is a masive 10 degree difference between dimms

have heard the heat spreader on gskill insulate in stead of dissipate heat brought a jonsoon or what ever is called ddr fan made no difference

Has any one got one of these or another make what sort of cooling to exspect what would be the best size pads to use?

Usually 1mm for single sided sticks or 0.5mm for double sided.

I’ve used the iceman ram blocks. Temps were 3-4c above coolant temp.

Gskill heatspreaders are surprisingly easy to take off. Leave it running karhu for a bit and then you can peel them off by hand.

Most of the new heatspreaders have a thermal pad on the PMIC now so surprising a fan on the stock heatspreaders is not helping.
