Hi.
In relation to another thread of mine in GD: Here.
I was wondering how/what tactics people managed to get Dell to do better deals?
I manged to get £60 of a laptop the other day from them, by knocking off the delivery price after i said it was advetised as free on their website.
But how are people getting other discounts on their laptops?
For example, im looking at the following laptop:
XPS M1330
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T5550 (1.83 GHz)
Windows Vista® Home Premium
Base Warranty - 1 Year XPS Premium Hardware Support
Tuxedo Black & 0.3 mega pixel Camera for White-LED Display
13.3" UltraSharp™ WXGA (1280x800) White-LED Display (300 nits) with TrueLife™
Biometric Fingerprint Reader
4096MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x2048]
160GB Free Fall Sensor (7200RPM) Hard Drive
128MB nVidia® GeForce® 8400M GS edit
8x DVD+/-RW Slim Slot Load Drive
Primary 6-cell Lithium-Ion Battery (56 WHr)
Dell™ TrueMobile 355 internal Bluetooth Module
Dell™ Wireless 1505 Wireless-N Mini-Card - Europe
65W AC Adapter edit
And that comes to £944.37 w/delivery.
So lets say i can get the £60 off for delivery.
What sort of 'tactics' would i be using to get the price lower?
Thanks in advance all.
