Baseball photos - What do you think

Took these about 6 months ago now. Basically changed to B/W cropped and added a boarder. Nothing over the top but I thought the results were good.

The day wasnt a great day and was rainning on and off but I was happy with the fact I got a few nice shots. These photos are from the baseball team I play for Southampton Mustangs.

Like the shots of the pitcher and the runner/baseman.

The shots of the hitter aren't quite so successful IMHO.

Yeah all the pitcher shots I love. I think I just need to use a different shutter speed on the batters to make sure the bat stays in focus.

compositions are good but on some i think you are lacking contrast, some of the blacks aren't black when they should be. good set tho mate

Thanks Bud. These are my first real attempt at black and white photos for the club. Just waiting for next season to be able to take some more and hopefully improve.
