Basemark Relic of Life - Ray Tracing benchmark

Clipboard01.png

Tried it on my 3070 (man, is that one ugly benchmark - proof that RT can't work miracles :D) Same settings as the tests above (DX12).

Overall: 4887
Average FPS: 49
Minimum FPS: 41
Maximum FPS: 61

what a terrible looking benchmark (doesn't run great either ) , none the less i gave it a shot

Card is an Asus 3090 Strix but flashed with an EVGA 520w bios which is why it says a Kingpin card but it isn't :D

Is it because my 3070 is LHR?

My result is greatly lower... and it is overclocked, identical between 3 runs.

REBAR on...

Insignificantly lower.

LHR cards must treat this as a mining program.

Yeah that's very interesting, your performance is high for a few seconds and then it suddenly drops off a cliff and stays there. That's the same behaviour LHR does when mining

Turn benchmark mode off it runs a lot better.

Not sure what benchmark mode is actually doing as with it off I cant tell the difference other than its smooth.

What is this nonsense. Absolutely useless benchmark mode that shows a result of 60fps but the actual benchmark is like a slide show. Ridiculous.

What is this nonsense. Supposed to be RT but can't see anything which looks remotely like RT reflections or shadows. Absolutely useless benchmark mode that shows a result of 60fps but the actual benchmark is like a slide show. Ridiculous.

As far as I can tell it's running multiple copies of the benchmark all at once, each benchmark is running at like 10fps and then it adds all the fps together to give the score

if you enable MSI afterburner RTSS it looks really weird, that's what alerted me to the fact that's it's running like 6 copies of the benchmark all at once
