Hi everyone. I’m looking to buy a basic budget monitor to attach a new MacBook Air to for very light duties - Teams meetings, web surfing , bit of YouTube etc. I’m currently using a 12 year old iMac so that is where the bar is set at the moment.

Any recommendations for a cheap monitor that would do the job but not be total trash? Or at the bottom end of the market are you really looking at poor quality? I haven’t bought a monitor for years so am a bit unsure.

Not sure what your budget is, but I just bought this

165hz AMD Freesync Premium AND it secretly is g-sync compatible, 165hz, none of the claimed motion sickness/issues with it being a VA panel (my 2nd time having a VA both from different companies and no issues) 32" 165hz for £229.99!
I Personally used my old vesa mount as I like the adjustment, the only downsides people moan about is the HDR is rubbish (what'd you expect for 350nitts) which I don't use anyway, and that the stock stand doesn't have adjustment (use a vesa mount they're cheap if you're bothered)
