Hello. My parents have finally decided they would like to be able to use the internet, do some e-mailing and, maybe, do some word processing. I'm looking for a new, inexpensive laptop which will be up to the task for them for the next few years. I'm not really looking for a C2D; paying the extra £100 or so for such a chip would probably be pointless, given their intended usage. So, I'm in the realms of Pentiums (dual core perhaps) and Celerons and have seen machines of each type for similar prices. So, an age old questions, what's the difference and which is better? Any suggestions will be well received.

Thanks for the replies. Those little machines would probably do the deal in many respects, but for the physical limitations of the aged! My mother has severe arthritis in her hands and my Dad has macular degeneration (an eye condition) which means a bigger screen will be needed. So, C2D for less than £300, nice. I'll take a look.
