Hey folks,

I'm thinking about getting a digital camera, just need a basic one, no fancy this or that with it. Just want to take some pictures and put them on my pc. I have a around £100 to spend and not sure what is good or bad. I have used a few cameras before and have been really annoyed by the time it takes from when you press the button to it taking a picture, I think it hasn't worked, so then move and then it goes, really frustrating. So is there any recommendations for a camera with a fast time from button pressage to taking the shot?

Thanks

I had spent about the last hour on the net looking for cameras and I am none the wiser. :(

There is the Canon A520, Sony DSC-S40, Fuji A345, and various others from other manufacturers as well, anybody know if any one is better than the other?

Oh I forgot to look at how they store the pictures! I have a little usb reader thing that takes SD, mini SD etc, this is confusing lol.

Yes it is confusing. Most (if not all) of those cameras will take SD, so you should be ok there.

Any of those three you mention would be ok, but I would recommend going with the Canon or the Fuji.

Watch out, most Sony's only take some form of memory stick, and most Fuji's only take XD cards..

edit : not that there's anything wrong with this, it can just be annoying because both tend to be more expensive than CF // SD cards, and you can use them on fewer things.
