Basic eCommerce website for local kids sports club.

Hi all,

Was hoping I could be pointed in the direction of a low cost solution for selling online.


A friend of mine takes care of the kits for a local kids rugby team, and he wants a way people can order and pay online. The site needs to be easy to manage, and not to expensive; I write software, but have no website experience.

Whats the best way to approach this? One of the "build a sites"?

Yeh, a hosted ecommerce platform that takes all of the pain out of the process. Shopify is probably your first stop but there are more like BigCommerce and Wix.

Magento community edition is free, with Magento commerce plugin. free and pretty reliable with plenty of optional plugins to help enhance the feature set on your site,
