basic home network setup help please

ok currently have the following

what would be the best way of setting this up?

i'm thinking about running the both bedroom based appliances off the sky router and then a switch into the study and take a spur off that into the living room


standard sky gt 834 router and cable runs will be

both bedrooms 15m
study 15 m
study to living room 10m


anyone see any problems and can someone suggest a suitable switch or alternative setup pls guys

Might be easier to use wi-fi where possible, seems like less hastle for the ammount of devices that will be on the network, and just use ethernet for the gaming/downloading machine......or use a combination of wired and wireless.

Do xboxes have wi-fi?

tbh i'd rather not use wifi as nothings in the same room as the router(it sits in the hall next to the master socket)


i dont mind running cables under floorboards skirtings etc so happy with that

just really confused about selecting and setting up a switch
